My Approach & Philosophy

Hello!

I am here to engage in a collaborative experience with teens and adults, utilizing an eclectic approach to provide you with meaningful support and deep care. My approach is intersectional, sex-positive, trauma informed, and centered in a constant pursuit for radical change. I am especially enthusiastic to work with individuals who are of a queer or transgender experience.

I have worked in the realm of mental health in various capacities over the last 16 years, showing up for diverse populations in many settings, with a heavy emphasis on harm reduction, peer support, and navigating crises.

I utilize an eclectic approach in therapy, which means that I draw upon multiple therapeutic modalities, while also leaning heavily on a mix of pop culture, punk rock, graphic novels, fiction, humor, the dance floor, the wilderness, and lived experience to help process your own experiences and shape a path forward.

As a social worker, I am also interested in supporting you in identifying resources in the community and centering the idea that many of the struggles that you are currently experiencing are deeply interconnected with the imperfect social systems and institutions that we all are attempting to navigate on a daily basis.

I am here for you. I am here without judgment, urging you to dig deeper, challenge yourself, push forward and navigate the experience of being human in the 21st century.

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
