My Approach & Philosophy

The journey to reaching a healthy mindset can be difficult, but I am here to support you on that journey! I am a strong believer in the power of therapy and, when indicated, I believe that medication can be a great adjunct to treatment. There is no “magic pill” that can cure mental illness, but medicine can certainly help us along the way. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I understand the importance of using evidence-based research and following treatment guidelines. As an individual who has struggled to find effective care for my own mental health concerns, I highly support alternative, holistic, and emerging treatment options when appropriate.

Mental health support and awareness is one of my passions! On a personal level, I have struggled with my own mental health for most of my life– from depression and generalized anxiety, to recently receiving a diagnosis of ADHD within the last year and a half, even though I’ve been symptomatic since I was a child. I’ve watched my loved ones struggle as well, but through it all, I’ve seen first-hand how lives can be transformed when people take control of their mental health.

I work best with patients who are invested in their healing journey; your voice is vital and I want you to be actively involved in every aspect of your treatment! We will work together to form a treatment plan that aligns with your values and beliefs. I am especially interested in working with patients struggling with mood and anxiety disorders; ADHD; religious trauma; relationship issues; adolescents; and the LGBTQ+ population.

I love crafting, singing, hunting for shark teeth, hiking and kayaking (and the outdoors in general), cuddling with my cats, spending time with my siblings, eating good food, playing board games, traveling/road trips, and badly photoshopping funny pictures for my friends!

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
