My Approach & Philosophy

We all have been broken. We all have dealt with loss and experienced suffering. These trauma wounds we carry serve as reminders of the intensity of this pain.

As a highly-sensitive, neurodivergent human being, I understand the feeling of shame and how it dictates our lives. I have lived so much of my life living how others want me to be. Wearing masks that hide my authenticity and bring out versions of myself to appease others.

These masks I wore hid my pain, vulnerability and scars. It wasn’t until I slowly learned to take off these masks and give myself the love I desperately needed, that I truly understood the feelings of compassion and belonging.

This is where the true healing began. This is where liberation takes place.

As your therapist, it is my responsibility to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can have permission to be your true, authentic self. You are allowed to be whatever version of yourself that was neglected, abused, or treated unkindly. Together, we can slowly put the pieces back together of what makes you unique, special, and beautiful towards a life of true purpose and belonging.

I am an EMDR therapist accredited through the EMDR International Association. I am passionate about providing EMDR for client’s looking to heal from trauma and other distressing experiences. I also use theoretical approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-Based, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems.

I am passionate about working with adults in their 20s and 30s, but find the deepest connections with people who are highly-sensitive, neurodivergent, masc-presenting non-binary folks, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

I understand for Autistic individuals how intimidating talk therapy can be. I am dedicated to providing accommodating services for Autistic individuals by creating a space where they can be themselves and communicate and connect in ways that best service their unique and beautiful minds. I am a proud member of the Charlotte Autism Consortium, where I am continuing to learn, grow, and advocate for members of the Autism community.

Outside of my professional life, I love to listen to music, watch critically-acclaimed movies and TV shows, travel, play basketball, write poetry, and bask in the beauty of nature.

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
