My Approach & Philosophy

We all have been broken. We all have dealt with loss and experienced suffering. These trauma wounds we carry serve as reminders of the intensity of this pain.

As an Autistic, Queer Male, I understand the feeling of shame and how it dictates our lives. I have lived so much of my life living how others want me to be. Wearing masks that hide my authenticity and bring out the versions of myself that others want me to be.

These masks I wore hid my pain, vulnerability and scars. It wasn’t until I slowly learned to take off these masks and give myself the attention I desperately needed, that I truly understood the feelings of compassion and belonging.

This is where the true healing began. This is where liberation takes place.

As your therapist, it is my responsibility to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can have permission to be your true, authentic self. You are allowed to be whatever version of yourself that was neglected, abused, or treated unkindly.

We will work on putting the pieces back together for the version of yourself you used to be, or maybe the one you never had a chance to be, to enable you to move toward the life you want with fulfillment and purpose.

I operate from a person-centered approach to counseling that emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and honesty in our sessions. I also use theoretical approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-Based, Polyvagal Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I am passionate about working with young adults of all types, but find the deepest connections with young adults who are highly-sensitive, neurodivergent, creative introverts, and/or in the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of my professional life, I love to listen to music, watch critically-acclaimed movies and TV shows, travel, play basketball, write poetry, and bask in the beauty of nature.

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
